A founder member of ACEIB (The association of language schools and academies in Bilbao and the surrounding province of Bizkaia), Language School operates two centres in the city; one is in the heart of the business and commercial district on the principal street of Bilbao, while the other is found in the neighbourhood of Sarriko, beside the University of the Basque country.

Facilities
There are 30 classrooms, all of which are fully equipped with whiteboard, sound and DVD reproduction equipment, air conditioning systems and stationery materials.
The teacher’s room has an extensive library, broadband internet access, wifi access, photocopier and mini kitchen. Additionally, there is a student common room, with television, DVD, library and snack and light refreshment facilities.

Courses
As regards English, Language School offers courses to children (5 years and up), adolescents and adults, both in our centres and on site. Apart from general English and exam preparation courses, business, technical and commercial English courses are also offered.

Methodology and structure

Taking account of the different age groups, the basic methodology used is based upon the 4 principles of reading comprehension, written expression, oral expression and oral comprehension. The course programmes vary depending on the duration, level and age group and due to the reduced class size, are personalised to allow for rapid development.

Trimestal exams of students are obligatory and teachers are responsible for class preparation, trimestal report cards (in the case of children) and, on occasion, parent teacher meetings.

Each teacher is provided with and are responsible for a full teachers pack for each course taught, containing all the necessary material required for its duration. Training courses are run throughout the academic year. Language School has a high rate of return both in the case of children and adults.
