El Centro de Inglés Andujar is a serious, professional language school dedicated to quality language teaching and teacher development situated in Andujar, in the province of Jaen, south-eastern Spain. The school opened in 1988 and has a well-established reputation for quality EFL teaching and exam preparation.

We offer in house training, funded external training, teacher development and ongoing support from a team of dedicated teachers who offer a wealth of experience. During the year teachers will receive training in all areas of EFL teaching including Young Learners, exam preparation and individual exams skills training for the Cambridge and Trinity exams.

We employ teachers of different nationalities, members of EU countries or who are legally entitled to work in Spain and who have a C2 level of English.

Native speaker competence/C2 level
EU national/valid work permit
University degree or higher education qualification
CELTA/DELTA/Trinity CertTESOL qualification or similar
Some previous teaching experience
A working knowledge of Spanish
Experience of the Cambridge and Trinity exams valued.



Since this position involves working with children, teachers will be required to provide proof that they are eligible to work with minors (a DBS or disclosure form at the interview stage). The successful candidate will need to obtain an International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC) or equivalent from their country of origin and a Spanish “certificado de penales”.

Salary & Benefits

Positions available:

20 contact hours + 12 hours paid preparation time.

Salary 1.390,00* euros gross. 10th September 2024 – 20th June 2025.

19 contact hours +10 hours paid preparation time. Maternity cover.

Salary 1.320,00* gross. 10th September 2024 – 20th June 2025

*These amounts are approximate and may rise slightly. We may be able to offer more hours in September.

  • Paid induction prior to commencement of contract

  • Classes finish on Friday at 6.30pm with no weekend classes

  • Holiday days accrued will be settled on completion of contract
  • Full assistance with all administration (finding accommodation, obtaining NIE registration, registering with the Spanish NHS system and a doctor, setting up a bank account etc).
