We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Coordinator to assist with the day to day running of the school and serve as a communication liaison. Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work under pressure are a must. You’ll form part of our management team, leading various aspects of our operations. We’re looking for a person who contributes to creating a positive atmosphere and keeping spirits high, while co-managing our team of 10-15 language teachers of English, French and German. Ensuring excellent standards in teaching quality, teacher development and student experience. This diverse role offers the opportunity for growth, gaining experience in multiple areas.
Qualifications
Candidates should be English speakers, EU passport or Spanish NIE/TIE (if UK) holders with a university degree and a recognised TEFL qualification.
At least 4 years teaching experience and a willingness to teach all these levels is necessary: very young learners, kids, adolescents, adults, as well as expertise with Cambridge exams (KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE). You will be assigned your own groups and will substitute others.
Minimum B2 level in Spanish.
Capable with use of technology.
1- or 2-years’ experience in a similar role.
Further teaching qualifications e.g. teacher trainer.
Salary & Benefits
- Dates: The position is a substitution for one academic year. From 18th August 2025- end of July 2026.
The position is Monday to Friday. Plus 1 Saturday in November to attend Aceia Conference and a few hours on a Saturday in June to accompany students to Cambridge oral exams.
- Timetable:
Monday / Wednesday / Thursday midday until 9pm
Tuesday morning & afternoon
Friday half day
Flexibility to cover evening substitutions until 10pm
Summer Timetable 8am-3pm in July & last week of August.
- Remote work: possibility of working remotely 1-2 mornings per week once fully autonomous.
- Holidays: proportional to the time worked according to law (includes one day during Feria and a single Friday to be agreed with the director of studies). Also, one week at Christmas and one week at Easter. Local, autonomous and national vacations.
- Contract: The coordinator will have a full-time 39-hour contract “contrato de interinidad” as “técnico coordinador”, with a probationary period of 2 months; they will be registered in the Social Security System, according to Spanish regulations. An optional medical check will be offered.
- Training: 1 month training period working alongside current Coordinator.
