The Caledonia School of English, situated on the beautiful Costa de la Luz, was set up in 1993. We’re a Premium Cambridge English Preparation Centre and award-winning School.

Qualifications
European national
University Degree (in Languages, Linguistics or relevant Humanities)
Good TEFL / teaching qualification (e.g. Trinity CertTESOL)
English mother-tongue level (C2)
Motivated and professional
Able to work with both digital resources and platforms
Interested in Spanish life and culture
Eligible to work in the EU (Spanish NIE/TIE holder)
Conditions
– Total contract hours: 32 per week
– Maximum teaching hours: 24 per week
– Timetable: Monday to Friday (earlier finish on Fridays)
– No weekend classes
– Excellent working conditions

Salary & Benefits
Basic Salary: 1,550 Euros per month (gross)
Approx. take-home pay: 1,400 – 1,415 (after taxes, S.S. and other deductions)

– Holiday Payment on contract completion
The Spanish tax year runs from 1st January to 31st December, so you will pay Income Tax over 2 different fiscal years. Tax is around 2% for the period September to December (fiscal year 2024). The following fiscal year is from January to December 2025. NHS & SS contributions are currently 6.47%.
