English teacher wanted Cordoba! Global Academy Cordoba is a small, friendly, family-run language academy in the centre of one of Cordoba’s principle commercial and residential neighbourhoods, fifteen minutes from the historic old town and the town centre.

Although we are a small school we pride ourselves on our excellent teaching standards and results. Our team of teachers is dynamic, autonomous and motivated and we are committed to building professional and ethical relationships with our customers, employees, suppliers and community.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic English teacher for the upcoming academic year 2018-2019. We are offering a full-time contract (23 teaching hours) with full health and social security cover.

The successful candidate must be CELTA or TEFL qualified and have university qualifications and have experience teaching all levels from infants (4 year olds) up to Proficiency C2. Teachers will have to prepare their own lessons as well as end of term exams, and assist weekly staff meetings. Preparation can be done either here in the academy or at home. Classes include exam preparation of both Trinity (GESE and ISE exams) and Cambridge (PET, First, Advanced and Proficiency). Our adult courses are dynamic and flexible, designed to meet the needs of the individual student. Candidates must be available to start work from mid September until mid June.


Native speaker competence/C2 level

EU national/valid work permit

University degree

CELTA/TEFL qualification or similar

Previous teaching experience, especially Cambridge and Trinity exam preparation

Experience with Young Learners valued


Full health and social security cover

23/24 contact hours per week

Class preparation and teachers’ meetings bring the full-time contract up to 34 hours per week

Two weeks holiday at Christmas, one at Easter plus all national and local holidays

Teachers will be provided with resources

Since the position involves working with children, teachers will be required to provide proof that they can work with minors (a DBS). The successful candidate will be instructed on how to obtain the Spanish equivalent.
