Sydney School is well located in the centre of San Fernando with modern and new facilities, as well as close to public transport, both bus stop and train stations.  We are currently  looking for a professional part-time teacher with a friendly and approachable manner and experience with Young Learners, who  is keen and enthusiastic to continue their career development in our school. We expect our teachers to be good team players because our school philosophy is to help each other and grow together.

We offer ongoing training as part of the Cambridge Learning Partners Scheme.

Our school is a member of ACEIA and we attend once a year the Conference in Seville, where teachers assist different workshops and further develop their skills and knowledge as part of the ongoing training.

 

Qualifications

  • Native speaker competence in English
  • University degree plus CELTA/Trinity Certificate TESOL
  • At least one year’s experience teaching very young learners (3-5 years)
  • Working knowledge of Spanish
  • EU citizen or in possession of a valid Spanish work permit
  • Up-to-date criminal records check (CRB)
  • Up-to-date references
  • Immediate availability

Conditions

  • Legal contract from mid September to end of June 2020
  • Possibility of renewing/extending contract
  • A commitment to fullfill a contract for 9.5 months teaching
  • 25 teaching hours from Monday to Friday
  • Optional Overtime hours for morning classes
  • 1 Friday per month for staff meetings
