Due to our continued success here at Egabrum English Academy we are expanding our team at the school. The role we are recruiting is a Senior Teacher/ Team Leader who will be responsible for the day-to-day management, support and development of teachers and study programmes.
The Key tasks are:
1 )To provide support in teacher management and quality control.
2) To support and drive the academic success of Egabrum alongside the management team.
Egabrum´s particular objective, is to provide an environment that inspires learners to engage and relate to the English language.
So, we are NOT here to simply prop up the existing education system by merely replicating the typical classroom environment.
The aspirations for our teachers are:
To motivate and inspire students to embrace the English language by providing a dynamic interactive learning environment.
To enable our students to communicate in English to a high level of fluency in all aspects of the language.
We aim to do this by;
1. By providing an exciting course structure, clear but not regimented.
2. By Actively encouraging teachers to come up with new and exciting lesson ideas that make the classroom setting as relevant as possible to our students.
3. Providing our students with the tools to collaborate with each other on project based assignments to encourage communication with
their teachers and more importantly their peers.
4. Ensuring that a minimum of one craft activities are done on a monthly basis with all learners up to the age of 16.
5. Providing a dynamic process of continuing assessment and open debate.
6. Having fun! It’s important to remember we are people and that happy people are more productive.
Please note that all candidate must have minimum of 6 years experience working as a senior teacher. Ideally the candidate should have some experience in a leadership role. Applicants must hold a level C2 and be 100% bilingual and hold a minimum if a CELTA qualification, Delta would be favourable.
So as you can see a pretty tall order which includes the following responsibilities!

● Teaching classes from A1 to C2 level, approx 18/20 teaching hours a week.
● Involvement in the whole process of running a course: testing, needs analysis, course programming, ongoing course monitoring and feedback activity.
● Preparing
● Examinations with the help of the teaching staff for each quarter.
● Defining the course goals on a monthly, quarterly and end of year.
● Targeted course planning – breaking down objectives for the classes from Jnr to C2 groups.
● Managing teachers in all aspects of the academia, reporting and providing feedback to the managing director.
● Induction and support of new teachers (Academic & course outlines only)
● Professional development support of teachers and academic staff continuous training. Weekly 30 mins training exercise to bring out the best of our creative minds and offer your experience and provide guidance.
● Run weekly meetings to ensure set weeks objectives and ensure best practices.
● Quality control – Review and mentor the teachers, lesson planning and student evaluation (accessing the academic progress of
randomly selected pupils)
● Teaching (hours to be agreed)
● PROVIDE an environment that actively encourages lateral thinking and creativity within the classroom, by encouraging the teachers to draw from their personal experiences and interests.
● Provide feedback and work closely with management team to drive the success of the academy by being the academic bridge between the Founders and teaching team.
● Other academic and administrative duties as requested
● Based in Cabra (Córdoba)
● Salary Based on experience.

Qualifications

• CELTA/Trinity CertTESOL qualification is a required, DELTA/Trinity DipTESOL qualification is a plus.
