Blue Door is a private language school located in the southern Spanish city of Cordoba (see video). The school is a member of ACEIA (the Association of Private Language Schools in Andalusia), and of FECEI (the National Federation of Private Language Schools in Spain).

Established in 1999, Blue Door operates from two locations: one in the heart of Córdoba city centre and the other in a prestigious local school.
The city centre premises has five classrooms, and teachers have access to many resources, including a well-stocked specialist library, stationery, computers, projectors, whiteboards and realia.
Blue Door classes are small and personal with between 6 and 10 students per group. Students come for two hours a week. A typical timetable usually consists of 10 groups with a total of 20 contact hours. Levels range from absolute beginners to advanced and we have students of all ages from as young as 3. The vast majority of our students, however, are older children or teenagers. Many of them take external exams (Cambridge English and Trinity College London). Classes are given at our city centre premises and a local school.
Blue Door is a professional organization with high standards and a supportive management team. Our teachers have a real desire for professional development and, to this end, a comprehensive Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programme, including in-house and external training, is provided. The Director of Studies is always on hand to provide support and support throughout the year, as well as observe classes and offer feedback.

Salary & Benefits
We offer a competitive package with salary above national pay agreements as well as full national health and social security cover. Contracts are from mid-September to mid-June. A contract consists of 20 contact (teaching) hours per week, but teachers also dedicate time to class preparation, exam correction, report-writing and participation in the CPD programme, as well as either Trinity College London’s Certificate for Teaching Speakers of Other Languages or Trinity College London’s Certificate for Practising Teachers: Teaching YLs and VYLS (sponsored by Blue Door and provided by Spainwise Teacher Training). There are two weeks’ paid holiday at Christmas and a week at Easter, as well as all local and national holidays.
