Thompson English Academy is located in the town of Sanlúcar la Mayor, around 20 kms from Seville. The bus service from the capital is regular and doesn’t take too long.
The school is located in a purpose built premises on the outskirts of the town.
There are 4 classrooms and a reception area. Each teacher is allocated their own classroom at the beginning of the academic year. Our students are from two-year olds to adults and come from Sanlúcar la mayor or the surrounding towns.
We are currently looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and dependable part-time teacher for the upcoming 2019-2020 academic year.
Applicants should be keen and enthusiastic about teaching and able to connect with their students. We are looking for teachers who take pride in what they do.
The contract for this position starts in September and ends in June, with the possibility of renewing for the summer and following academic year 2020-2021.
Thompson English Academy is a proud member of ACEIA (Asociación De Centros De Enseñanza De Idiomas De Andalucía) and FECEI (Federation of Language Schools of Spain).
• CELTA, Trinity Cert TESOL or other equivalent TEFL teaching qualification
• Valid work visa / EU citizen
• YL teaching certificates an advantage
• Experience with Trinity, Cambridge and APTIS official examinations
We offer a competitive package with salary above national pay agreements as well as full national health and social security cover. Contracts are from mid-September to mid-June. In house training and ongoing support will be provided. Since this position involves working with children, teachers will be required to provide proof that they can work with minors. The successful candidate will need to obtain an International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC) or equivalent from their country of origin and a Spanish “certificado de penales”.
Contract: September 2019 to June 2020.
Teaching hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 16:00-21:30.
More teaching hours available upon request.
1 Friday per month for staff and parent meetings (3-hour sessions).
