We need an experienced full-time EFL teacher to start very soon to replace an excellent teacher who is changing career path. The 22 hours of classes are Monday-Thursday, so those days are busy days, but the weekend is a long one. The only Friday we will ask you to work is June 21st, the last day of the school year.

The school teaches primary and secondary students, and adults, as well as in-house general English to an automotive company. Many classes are preparing for Cambridge exams.


Ideally you are already teaching in Spain, but experience with Cambridge exam preparation is a must, as well as an appropriate educational background and EFL/ESOL training. All our teachers at the moment are from the British Isles. We’d be pleased to welcome teachers originally from North America or Australia again, or indeed from elsewhere, but with the proviso that they carry EU passports. All our teachers have English as their first/joint first language, and have lived for a significant period of their lives in an English-speaking country.


Start date for teaching is imminent, and we would like our new teacher to be here as soon as possible with a chance of shadowing the leaving member of staff. Our school year runs until June 21st, but there are intensive Cambridge exam preparation courses running until the fourth week of July and we would prefer teachers who are available for that teaching too, and who would like to renew at the end of September for the following school year.

Salary & Benefits

We offer a good salary, and pagas extras in June and December. (Pagas extras are compulsory bonuses which schools in Spain either pay in those months or include pro-rata in the monthly salary).

Most of our teachers have trained as Cambridge speaking examiners, and several are also trained invigilators/ushers for Cambridge exams, with the opportunity for occasional Friday and Saturday well-paid work. Overtime is occasionally available during the working week too.

Professional development is important to us, and so far this year teachers have been offered four opportunities to attend seminars and conferences, funded by the school.
