EFL Teacher in Melilla, Spain

CentrosD2 is looking for an enthusiastic EFL Teacher in Melilla to join our teaching team for the new academic year.

CentrosD2 is a well-established language centre in Melilla. We provide language education to more than 1,000 students each academic year. We are also a Cambridge Preparation and Examination Centre. Our teachers work with students of different ages and levels.

The successful EFL Teacher will mainly teach Young Learners and teenagers. Most students follow the Cambridge English curriculum. Teachers may also teach adult classes, depending on the timetable and the needs of the school.

This is a full-time teaching position. The role includes 25 contact teaching hours per week. There are also 9 contracted hours for lesson planning, meetings and administrative work. Teachers have access to teaching resources and digital platforms.

We are looking for teachers who enjoy working with children and teenagers. You should also enjoy creating engaging and communicative English lessons. Teamwork is an important part of the role.

Melilla offers a unique lifestyle in Spain. The city has a Mediterranean climate, beautiful beaches and a multicultural environment. Morocco is just across the border. There are also regular connections to mainland Spain. The city offers a lower cost of living than many parts of mainland Spain.

Qualifications

  • CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL or equivalent initial ELT qualification
  • Native/near-native English
  • Genuine interest in teaching children & teenagers
  • Previous teaching experience is a plus
  • Newly qualified CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL / YL certified teachers are welcome
  • Legal right to work in Spain
