About The School
The Albion English Academy is a well established language school in the centre of Molina de Segura, a large town just 15 minutes away from Murcia, the regional capital. Murcia is well connected by road with the rest of Spain and has its own international airport, as well as being only 40 minutes away from Alicante airport.
We teach children from age 4, teenagers and adults. The majority of our students are at primary and secondary level and we prepare them for the Cambridge Young Learners exams and then levels A2 to C2 of the Cambridge main suite exams.
We are a small but highly professional academy and enjoy an excellent relationship with our students and their families.
Working at Albion English
Our classes run from 16:30 to 21:30 (Monday to Thursday) and are 60 or 70 minutes long, depending on the level. At present we don´t offer classes on Fridays. A full time teacher has 20 teaching hours a week, seeing each of their 8 groups twice a week. Two mornings a week are also included in the contract, for preparing classes and other administrative duties. The timetable for this can be flexible. We closely follow the term dates of local schools, starting classes mid September and finishing at the end of June, with two weeks holiday at Christmas and two weeks at Easter.
All of our students are evaluated before starting so we can place them in the best group for their age and level. The maximum number of students per group is 12, though many groups are smaller. Each group follows a coursebook and we have many additional resources which we encourage teachers to use. Of course, all of our classrooms have a whiteboard and a computer with WiFi access.
