High Five School of English is a small but highly professional English language academy in Cartagena, South East Spain. We are a Cambridge preparation centre and prepare students for exams of all levels from Young Learners through to C2.
We teach children from age 3 and have a specially designed room to enhance their learning experience.
The majority of our students are children, ranging from preschool to primary, although we do also cater for teens and adults.
The majority of our classes run from Monday to Thursday, 16:00-21:00 and last for 55 minutes. Students have classes on a twice weekly basis (Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.) In addition, we have some smaller groups for adults in the morning and a storytelling workshop on Saturdays.
All our classrooms are equipped with air conditioning, wifi, a whiteboard, computer and screen and we have an extensive bank of materials for teachers to use.
Our methodology is communicative and we actively encourage pair and group work during the sessions.
Job Information
The contract runs from the beginning of September until the end of June with the option to renew. The monthly salary is €1,400
Requirements
We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher with experience teaching groups of primary aged students. Our methodology is active and hands-on so the ideal candidate will enjoy playing vocabulary and grammar games in addition to using songs and stories in the classroom.
The applicant must be punctual and organised with the ability to work in a team.
Preference will be given to candidates with a TEFL qualification and experience in exam preparation is an advantage.
All teachers have to be EU citizens or resident in Spain with the relevant working visa. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
Vacancies
We have a vacancy for a teacher to start in September. The timetable will cover a maximum of 20 contact hours plus 5 additional hours for preparation, admin and meetings.
Working hours are Monday – Thursday 16:00-21:00
