Sabadell is a predominantly Catalan town of about 200,000 inhabitants. It is a major industrial and commercial centre 25 kilometres inland from Barcelona, well situated for skiing trips to the Pyrenees, the beaches of the Costa Brava and Costa Dorada, and Barcelona for its entertainment and shopping facilities.
Sabadell is currently being given a facelift and now boasts the beautiful Parc Catalunya, many pleasant green squares, a very impressive shopping centre and numerous carefully restored buildings alongside the modern developments.
There is a lot of attractive countryside very close to the town, and communications by road and rail are very good.
Quite small, with a population of around 200,000 people, everything is within walking distance. Flat rental costs are somewhat lower than in Barcelona.
