ELI Nervión

ELI (English Language Institute) is a private language school, with 10 centres located in and around the city of Seville, in Andalusia, Southern Spain. A founder member of ACEIA and FECEI, ELI opened in 1980 and currently employs around 90 full-time teachers.

Our students range from 3 year-olds to adults and most are in the 6-16 age bracket. Students come to class for 2 or 3 hours a week from mid-September to June. We offer general English courses from beginners to advanced levels and we also prepare students for Cambridge exams with consistently excellent results. ELI presents more candidates for Cambridge exams (PET and above) than any other language school in Spain!

Our staff are our number one asset and we dedicate thought, time and resources to caring for them. We offer a comprehensive Professional Development Programme which includes pre-course induction with teaching practice, in-house training (given by a team of trainers) and guidance throughout the academic year. The DOS and trainers observe classes and offer support and advice to teachers and there are also opportunities for peer observation within each centre. ELI pays for teachers to attend the ACEIA conference and there is subsidised financing for teachers who want to do the DELTA or other EFL courses.

We have a virtual staffroom with materials shared by teachers and trainers and there are 2 optional lesson plans available for the first classes with every level. Each teacher has their own classroom for the academic year with whiteboard, computer, internet connection, projector and interactive whiteboard. All centres have well-equipped staffrooms with mini-kitchens.
