Liberty English Academy is located in Rivas-Vaciamadrid a 30-minute bus ride away from Conde de Casal in Madrid Centre. The academy was established in 2010 and has received an ever growing number of students ever since. In 2012 the academy expanded to another building 50 meters from the original one which allowed us to double in numbers and we are currently at 550 students. Despite the number of students Liberty prides itself in giving a personalised service to each student and having the teachers work together as a team. Liberty is run by Sylvia who has more than 20 years experience in the field and offers her full support to all teachers to help them with all aspects of teaching.
We offer courses to children from the age of four; they spend their first two years with us in ´infantil´ with our infant teacher Carly who prepares them for their journey through Liberty with fun classes centred on different themes. As from the age of 6 they start classes with course books, although, extra activities aimed at making learning easier and more interactive are also an integral part of the course. We offer a wide range of levels for adults including classes specifically aimed at the Cambridge suite of exams (KET, PET, FCE and CAE) as well as the TOEIC, in these classes they follow a course book recommended for each exam and regular mock exams are held to check the progress of the students. All students have class twice a week plus Fridays where there is no class as such but where we run several different activities. Teacher´s have access to all teaching materials including; teacher´s book to every course book, CDs, CD-ROMs, extra photocopiable activities and exam preparation material.
